v     “Ireland’s Rural Tourism Awards 2004”, Fairymount Farm was awarded Provincial Winner (Munster) for best self-catering category, covering the South-West, Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Tipperary, Limerick and Clare areas. This award was presented by The Minister for Communications and Rural Affairs; Mr.Eamon O’Cuiv TD.

 “This prestigious award recognises the very high standard of self-catering accommodation, the unique recreational facilities created by the Walks and Trails and the genuine welcome given by the Kenny family to their visitors.”

v     In 2001, Fairymount Farm won “The RDS All Ireland Farm Forestry and Wood Award”, presented by the former Minister of State, Mr. Hugh Byrne. This award has been long established to promote better forestry on farms and particular recognition is given where the environment has been improved, landscape enhanced, wildlife preserved and the integration of additional enterprises such as Fairymount Farm’s Walks and Trails.
