1.
The
Heritage Walk: (Approximately
9km/5.5miles)
The
Heritage Trail takes approximately 3.5 hours to walk and it
trails through all the important features and sites on the farm.
It also incorporates the other two walks.
2.
The Lake Walk:
(Approximately 3.2km/2miles)
Tourists may start
this walk at ‘Fairymount’ (5km/3.5miles) where our Reception
area is for all walks, or could drive from Fairymount to
‘Oakwood’ to park there and start the lake walk from the actual
oak wood (3.2km/2miles). From here this trail takes you through
the old oak wood, across the road and down to the lake (Lough
Nahinch), then onwards to the Crannog, back through the callows
to the Fulachta Fiadh and then on to the Ring Fort.
3.
The Hill Walk:
(Approximately 1.6km/1mile)
This walk, starting at Fairymount, involves climbing to the hill
summit for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding
countryside with views of seven counties. Then
you descend back down to the farmyard through some of the new
forest.
